Striking and mysterious, this preserved Ornithoctonus aureotibialis—commonly known as the Thai Gold Fringe tarantula—is displayed within a 12x15cm glass dome. A fierce fossorial species, its inky black legs are accented by golden fringes, giving this tarantula its name and captivating presence.
Mounted on natural bark and moss, this piece features an added touch of realism: genuine spider web carefully harvested from one of my own pet tarantulas. Ethically collected and delicately positioned, the web brings an authentic glimpse into this species’ natural behaviour and habitat.
